DMCA Policy
Effective May 17, 2026
CatalogKit respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), we will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement involving content hosted by us, including generated PDFs and flipbook links.
1. Filing a notice
To submit a takedown notice, send a written communication to our DMCA agent that includes:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material to be removed, with a URL or other information sufficient for us to locate it.
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
2. DMCA agent
Send notices to: dmca@catalogkit.app. Mark the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice". A physical mailing address is available on request for service of formal legal process.
3. Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you reside (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district where CatalogKit may be found).
4. Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate accounts of users we determine to be repeat infringers and revoke access to hosted catalogs or flipbooks generated by those users.
5. Misrepresentations
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Submit notices in good faith.
6. Third-party content
CatalogKit fetches product data from public Shopify storefronts on user instruction. If a generated catalog reproduces your copyrighted work without authorization, the DMCA process above applies and we will remove the hosted copy promptly upon a valid notice. We are not able to remove copies that users have downloaded.
